It was my dream, Vacances champêtres

On November 25, 2012, the syrian cartoonist, Hani Abbas, had to flee with his wife and son, leaving behind all his family films and photographs, convinced he would some day return. But he never did.

As a collector of old amateur films, I had, for my part, many anonymous memories with which to provide him. This film is the result of our meeting. It evokes the fragility of moments of joy, and the universal nature of exile.
